I’m almost 50 now, but I’ve been fishing and exploring the Staunton and Dan Rivers since I was a boy. Don’t let the baby face fool you—I’ve spent nearly 30 years learning every bend, shoal, and current seam on these rivers.

It all started with my dad’s love of striper fishing during the spring spawn. What began as tagging along with him quickly turned into an obsession with mastering my home waters.

While many anglers love fishing Kerr Lake Reservoir, it’s the moving water that always called to me—and I answered.

Today, I spend my time helping others experience what makes these rivers so special. From chasing hard-fighting stripers to taking in the rugged beauty and history of the Staunton and Dan, every trip is an adventure.

After many years of friends, friends of friends, and people reaching out to me on social media for fishing advice and trips, I finally decided to take the leap into professional guiding in 2021. That decision has brought many blessings and great joy into my life. I love sharing my passion for the rivers with my guest anglers.
